Voice-Acoustic celebrates the international premiere of the Convert-412PS in Hamburg and Stockholm
Two trade shows, two countries and one new product in focus: From 6 to 8 October 2026, Voice-Acoustic presented the new Convert-412PS simultaneously at LEaT con in Hamburg and LLB Expo in Stockholm. The horn loaded point source system attracted strong interest in both the German and the Scandinavian market.
While the team led by CEO Stefan Rast welcomed customers, users, system designers and industry partners at LEaT con, Jürgen Bachthaler, Head of International Sales, presented the Convert-412PS to the Scandinavian trade audience together with our Swedish distributor SPL Rental / Stagebrands. In Stockholm he was supported by Daniel, Filip, Anton and Markus Nilsson.
Convert-412PS: powerful low mids from four horn loaded 12" drivers
The Convert-412PS is the first model of the new Convert series. It was developed for professional applications that call for high SPL, strong low mid performance and controlled dispersion in equal measure.
Four 12" neodymium woofers work symmetrically into a large exponential horn. This design delivers the punchy and dynamic low midrange of the system. Mids and highs are handled by a 1.4" coaxial compression driver that radiates both frequency ranges from a common acoustic centre. It is mounted on a large constant directivity horn made of fibreglass.
Depending on the application, interchangeable horns with 70° × 50°, 90° × 50° or 110° × 50° dispersion are available, so the Convert-412PS can be matched precisely to different venue geometries. With a peak level of 149 dB SPL, the system offers ample headroom for demanding applications.
Mechanically, the Convert-412PS is designed for flexible use. It can be flown individually, clustered or stacked directly on a Paveosub-118 or an upright Paveosub-121 without additional adapters. It runs on two channels of a VADAS-12K4D system amplifier, so one amplifier can drive two Convert-412PS.
Sonically, the system follows the Voice-Acoustic philosophy: high SPL and wide dynamics combine with powerful low mids and a sound that stays warm and pleasant even at high levels.
Positive response from Scandinavia
The show in Stockholm was an important step for Voice-Acoustic towards a stronger position in the Scandinavian market. The Convert-412PS received a very positive response from trade visitors at LLB Expo. Alongside the high SPL and the flexible dispersion, it was above all the horn loaded concept and the resulting low mid performance that drew interest.
Together with SPL Rental, Voice-Acoustic held many conversations with new contacts from the Scandinavian rental, installation and event market. Several of these conversations have already led to concrete ideas for future projects.
“According to SPL Rental, the quality of visitors and conversations has improved compared to the show two years ago,” said Jürgen Bachthaler, Head of International Sales. “We made many new contacts and have already discussed first new projects. Our Swedish partner was very satisfied with their participation at LLB Expo, and in Stockholm I met nothing but open and friendly people.”
In Hamburg, too, the Convert-412PS brought Voice-Acoustic many new prospects, including trade visitors who had no previous direct contact with the brand.
“The response to the Convert-412PS exceeded our expectations,” commented Stefan Rast, Founder and CEO. “I was particularly pleased that we reached many visitors who did not know Voice-Acoustic before or only knew the name. When a new product leads users to take a closer look at our brand and this results in concrete conversations, we have done a lot right in its development.”
VArioSub VS221: first look at the prototype of a new touring subwoofer
To the surprise of many visitors, Voice-Acoustic showed the prototype of the new VArioSub VS221 for the first time at LEaT con. The large double 21" subwoofer is tuned to 31 Hz, rated at 3,600 W AES. Its peak SPL already reaches 141 dB at 32 Hz and rises to 145 dB at 60 Hz. This gives the VS221 deep low frequency extension and high headroom for touring, festival, club and installation use.
The symmetrical four point rigging of the flying version allows classic bass arrays as well as flown cardioid configurations. Despite its large cabinet volume, the VS221 is designed for touring logistics at approx. 115 × 76 × 76 cm: its dimensions follow the Euro pallet grid in all three axes and make efficient use of truck space.
The VS221 will be available in two versions: the VS221F with flying hardware and the VS221G for ground stacking. A practical detail: the VS221G can be upgraded with the flying hardware at a later stage.
At the same time, the VS221 gives a first glimpse of an upcoming Voice-Acoustic system family of symmetrical line arrays and matching flown subwoofers. The new system concept will allow the subwoofers to be flown either separately or within the line array.
The VS221 is also designed as a partner for the Convert-412PS. Its cabinet height places the Convert-412PS at a suitable height when ground stacked. A complete setup of two VArioSub VS221 and one Convert-412PS can be powered by a single VADAS-12K4D.
With the VS221, Voice-Acoustic combines deep low frequency extension, high SPL, controllable bass directivity, flexible rigging options and tour ready logistics in a new subwoofer concept.
New contacts and concrete projects
Both shows gave Voice-Acoustic the opportunity to present the Convert-412PS to an international audience. In Hamburg, the VS221 added a look ahead at the next product generation. Above all, however, the focus was on personal exchange and many conversations about specific applications and future projects. In Hamburg and Stockholm, these conversations centred on rental, touring, clubs and fixed installations.
Voice-Acoustic would like to thank all customers, partners, friends and trade visitors who came to the stands at LEaT con and LLB Expo.
The Convert-412PS is available to order now. If you would like to experience the system under real conditions and not just see it, please contact the Voice-Acoustic distribution partner for your country to arrange a personal demo.
