The SubSat-15 set consists of two HDSP-6 amplifier, four Paveosub-118 and two Modular-15 bi-amping. It is possible to connect another two Modular-15. There are still 4 x 800 W channels available on one HDSP-6. These channels can be used for flexible monitors, nearfills, delay lines or zoning.
The HDSP-6 amplifiers is the heart of the Voice Acoustic sound systems. Specific settings are stored as presets on all speakers. These can be selected and loaded via the front panel Display. The system is ‘Plug and Play’. Plug it in, and it is ready for use. All components are matched, adjusted and limited via the integrated speaker management system (DSP). The sound is synchronised right away, without having to make further adjustments.
Experienced technicians and professional audio operator can still alter the functions and have access capabilities to the DSP settings. Access to almost all parameters without PC control can be made using the Display buttons and encoder wheel. The functions can be password protected obviating unauthorized interference. Complex configurations can be comfortably created via the Ethernet, or an integrated bi-directional wireless interface on the PC surface, using the VA-WLAN remote software for PC and Mac. Individual sound ideas and alterations can be saved as presets and recalled at any time.
Components of this set can be used arbitrarily depending on the requirements of the relevant events e.g. Modular-15 Set stand alone as a full-range speaker, combined with a bass to round out the sound image, or full configuration with two basses per top to deliver clean and punchy sound to several hundred people. The SubSat-15 Set sounds balanced at all volume levels: powerful, transparent and fine resolution. The range of the SubSat-15 set is vast, both through the vertical plane, and the tight bundling of the large 60°x 40° or optional 90°x 60° horn. Speech intelligibility is also perfect at a distance. Both speech and vocals are clear and understandable in larger and rectangular spaces.
The operator can change the angle of both the 90° x 60° horn and the 60° x 40° horn, through the bi-amping control, depending on the sound requirements of the area being used.
The HDSP-6 corresponding settings are stored for both horns. The 15" chassis used in the Modular-15 is designed for a clean midrange at highest volume levels. It has a very low moving mass and an extremely strong neodymium magnet.
The patented array design of the tops heads minimizes interference between the sound sources. Two or more systems can also provide a great combined PA. This multiple usage factor provides the user with an even wider range with only one speaker system.
The possible extensions, scaling, ease of use, and extensive utilitarian accessories, complete the SubSat-15 set and make it a universal PA tool.
