Review 2023

2023 was an exciting and busy year. In January, we had a cold start with our new SAP enterprise resource planning system. This was a major change for all employees. Now, we no more want to do without it and many processes have been digitalised and optimised.

Our R&D department was also busy again in 2023. At the prolight+sound trade fair in Frankfurt, we presented new hardware and two new loudspeakers that were very well accepted by the market: the Alea-5 and the Paveosub-121. Many thanks to all customers who have already chosen these loudspeakers and used them successfully this year.

For the first time, we also exhibited at the Live Sound Arena at prolight+sound. Our Ikarray-8 line array, the VENIA-8 column line array and eight units of the new Paveosub-121 could be heard four times a day on the outdoor area of Messe Frankfurt. For us, prolight+sound Frankfurt 2023 was the best-selling trade fair we have ever exhibited in terms of post-fair business and also contributed to the fact that we recorded our best year in terms of sales in 2023. We love PLS.

The summer was characterised by festivals and many events. Our rental-users had alot of jobs and the stock of equipment was constantly being expanded, keeping our colleagues in production busy. In April, for example, a sound system with 50 loudspeakers and 8 system amplifiers was delivered to Austria, which was used in the same month as a tent sound system for the Wasenwirt at the famous Canstatter Wasen event in Stuttgart/Germany. Many thanks for your trust, dear Borut.

Thanks to forward-looking planning, the increase in stock and the good overview in the new SAP ERP system, we were able to significantly shorten our delivery times in 2023 and had a good delivery flow with our good-working colleagues in production.

Our team of employees has grown again this year and will continue to grow next year. In the new year, we will be introducing 4 new colleagues. This is the first time that all positions have been filled at the turn of the year and we can start the new year at full power. We are looking forward to the new colleagues. I am personally grateful for the good and collegial team that we have together and that you have chosen to work for our company. It is a pleasure to work with each of you.

However, we are not only increasing our workforce in the new year, our warehouse will also be expanded in the first quarter of 2024 by over 300 pallet storage spaces with high-bay racking and a new forklift truck with a lifting height of 6.50 metres.

Three trade fairs are scheduled for the first quarter of 2024. In mid-January we will be at the CUE trade fair in Rotterdam with our partner Podiumtechniek B.V., at the end of January we will be exhibiting at ISE in Barcelona for the first time with our Spanish partner VTECNICS EN RUTA and at the end of March we hope to meet you at prolight+sound Frankfurt. We will also have new partners overseas and in Asia next year. We look forward to working with you.

At our booth at the LEaTcon trade fair in Hamburg in October 2023, we already presented a new loudspeaker that we will officially launch in the new year. You can stay tuned, this will not be the only new product next year. Some new products that we are currently developing will be a game changer for Voice-Acoustic in 2024.
