ASHA Bar
A Voice-Acoustic project by Hi Tech Audio (www.htaudio.mx)
Located in the southern area of Mexico City, ASHA Bar has established itself over more than two decades as one of the key nightlife venues in Coyoacán. Built around a music concept focused on 80s, 90s and contemporary hits, the venue combines DJs and live performances within a social experience defined by nostalgia, energy and collective connection through music.
Coinciding with its 23rd anniversary, ASHA Bar began a new technological chapter through the complete renovation of its sound system. As part of this evolution, the venue transitioned from its previous PA system to a new solution based on Voice-Acoustic loudspeakers, seeking a platform capable of responding to the venue’s sonic, operational and aesthetic requirements. Due to the venue’s two-level architecture, the system design needed to ensure uniform coverage and tonal consistency across both the main dancefloor and the upper balcony area.
The main system consists of 4x Ikarray-8-15° (two per side) suspended alongside 4x Paveosub-115 (two per side), complemented by centrally positioned 2x Paveosub-218 subwoofers for low-frequency reinforcement. To extend coverage throughout the venue, the installation also incorporates 4x SCORE-6 as a side fill system, along with 7x SCORE-5 strategically distributed across the upper level. The entire system is powered by 5x VADAS-8K4D system amplifiers. The result is a uniform and intensive sound experience, capable of responding equally well to DJ sessions and live performances, supporting the ongoing evolution of one of the longest standing nightlife venues in the southern part of Mexico City.
